I promise today’s blog post will be short and sweet.
Children’s book author Susanna Leonard Hill is featuring the pitch for my first picture book manuscript, Out of This World Opposites, on her site today. If you have a few minutes, please hop on over to her blog and provide some constructive criticism. Once I’ve tweaked my pitch, I’ll send out my first publisher’s query.
Wish me luck!

I’ll be happy to follow this and learn lots too!
I’d love to hear your feedback, Julie, though I think you’ve read my pitch and MS a thousand times!
I loved it Kirsten, I have tried for so long to write a space book, but yours sounds super!
Thanks Catherine. I am sending out my first query later in the week, so we’ll see how it goes.
Since I’ve had the opportunity to see both the pitch and the ms, all I have to add is good luck 🙂
Thanks Susanna! Your critique was oh so helpful.
I really liked the pitch! 🙂
Thanks Erik!
Oooo, you had a Susanna critique, how cool! As you know, I love the idea!
It was my quid pro quo for hosting Phyllis, which I would have done without a critique. However, her input was invaluable in making sure all my examples were parallel and consistent. And she also helped me vary my sentence structure. What a wonderful writer!
